Happy Halloween!

We had so much fun this Halloween! On Saturday night, Mimi and Tia came over to our house to watch Logan so Josh and I could attend our best friends' annual Halloween party. We had a blast playing games, dancing, and singing at the Bridgford's party this year! Sunday evening I carved a pumpkin for Lo. Unfortunately, he wasn't feeling great so I wasn't able to get a great shot from him.

Today was so much fun!! The day started off with a Halloween-themed Stroller Strides workout. Instead of resistance bands, we used pumpkins instead. Awesome workout! Afterwards, the kiddos got to trick-or-treat from stroller to stroller. The kids were adorable in their costumes! After nap-time, Ang and I took the kiddos to the Fun Festival at our church--Friends. This was my first time going and I was very impressed with all of the games and rides they have available for the little ones. It was the first time Logan rode on a pony and he absolutely loved it! After church, we went home for dinner and then Ang and the girls--Ellie and Lillie--came over and we all went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. I must say, today was one of those fun-filled days packed with good memories at every moment!

Josh and I dressed up as Spongebob and a Playboy Bunny!
My dear friend, Emily, is pregnant, so she and her husband came as Humpty-Dumpty and All the King's Men...so cute!
Ang and I! Ang was J.Lo during her Fly Girl days on In Living Color! She rocked it!

Today I was able to ask, "Logan, what does a dinosaur say?", and he would say, "ra!" (or at least his version of it).

Happy Halloween!
Logan's first trick-or-treat experience! Here he is collecting candy from our next-door neighbor. He didn't quite get the hang of it, so Ellie was nice enough to carry her and Logan's buckets around to collect candy for the two of them.

Tanaka Farms Play-Date

This past week, Stroller Strides had a play-date at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. I was really excited to go because I've heard so many great things about it but had never been. There was quite a turn-out from the Stroller Strides group, so we tried to take a picture of all the kiddos. It was nothing short of hilarious trying to get all these kids to look at the camera and smile! I can't wait to return in the Spring and Summer for strawberry and watermelon picking!

Logan loved the pumpkins! He hugged this one.

Pumpkin Patch & Half-Marathon

Last Sunday, Josh took Logan to visit his mom and family at the Laguna Hills Mall Pumpkin Patch. Last year I took Logan here with Grandma, but it was nap time and Lo was not very cooperative for the pictures. This year he was able to enjoy more of what the fair had to offer. I did not make it because earlier that day I ran my very first half-marathon. I had to meet up with my group at 4:30am and then started the 13.1 mile race at 7:00am, so needless to say, I was exhausted! However, my goal was to finish in under 2 hours, and I did it--my time was 1:53!

My cheerleaders!

My running partner, Kristi. Thanks so much, Kristi, for all of your positive thoughts. You really helped me to continue pushing myself during those rough patches.

Ang made these cute signs to help keep me motivated to finish!

Yay! I'm finished!

Daddy's Day Off!

Since Daddy was gone for four days, he decided to take the Monday off when he returned. I was so excited for us to have a fun-filled family day! The morning started off with Kindergym, Logan's exercise class. I was so excited for Josh to see what Logan does in this class. After class, we headed to San Juan Capistrano. We really wanted to get lunch at Ramos House, but unfortunately, they were closed. We went somewhere else for lunch and it was delicious! After lunch, we walked over to Zoomars Petting Zoo. Logan had a blast here! It was so much fun to see him interact with the different animals. When we left the petting zoo, Daddy and I walked over to where we got married--Franciscan Gardens--and showed Logan where our family began. It was a special moment. Unfortunately, Josh's grandma is not doing well and is in the hospital. Since we were already in south Orange County, we decided to drive to Oceanside and visit her. It was so sweet to see her face light up when she got a look at Logan. After we left Oceanside, we headed home and rested for a bit. Josh's dad was in town for the night, so we were lucky enough to meet up for dinner with him and Josh's sister and family. It was an awesome day!

Oak Glen - Pear Picking

The last weekend in September, Josh had to go to Louisiana for business. Since Josh was gone for four days, I decided to keep myself busy so that Lo and I would be distracted with lots of fun things. It just so happened that Mike, Angela's husband, was also out of town, so we decided to take the kiddos to Oak Glen for some apple picking. Only by the time we got there, there were no more apples to pick. We wound up making apple juice and picking pears instead. It was a nice treat because my mom decided to tag along too!
