Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Every Christmas Eve we get together with my aunts, uncles, and cousins.  This year my Tia Linda hosted.  We ate lots of yummy food, played fun games, and had a great time just hanging out together! Poor Logan had a fever on Christmas Eve, but he was such a happy boy anyway.

Here he is hanging out with one of his favorite people--Poppa!

During the evening, Santa showed up and surprised us all!  Logan was so excited to see him.

Immediately telling Santa what he would like for Christmas.

Logan opening his presents from his great aunts and great uncles.

Our annual Cousin picture.  I can't believe how big everyone is getting!

On Christmas morning Josh and I woke up before Logan.  Poor little guy woke up with a cold, but Daddy and Mommy were so excited to see his reactions to the Christmas presents that Santa brought.  After we opened gifts as a family, we headed over to my parents' house for our annual Christmas breakfast.  My mom made Josh's favorite dish--Chilequiles.  They were delicious!  After breakfast, we sat around and opened presents.  Logan sure got a lot goodies from his Poppa, Mimi, and Tia.  They sure do love our little guy!

Poppa got Logan a construction toy that he can sit on and scoop up dirt with.  He absolutely loved it!

Opening up all his gifts!

After opening presents, we were spent!  Poppa, Daddy, and Logan decided to relax and watch some TV.

Christmas Morning Videos.  My memory card ran out during the filming of Christmas morning (of course!), so we had to separate into two videos.  Enjoy!

Christmas lights in Brea

We have never gone to see the Christmas lights in Brea, so this year we decided to make a night of it with the Bridgfords.  We ate some dinner in downtown Brea, grabbed some hot chocolate from Starbucks, and headed over to view the Christmas lights!  They were absolutely amazing.  I can't believe how invested these neighborhoods are in putting on a beautiful light show!

It was absolutely freezing, so we had the kiddos bundled up in jackets and blankets.

Lillie and Logan insisted on sitting with one another, of course!  Logan was too busy enjoying his first ever hot chocolate to smile for the camera.

One of the houses had fake snow shooting out from a machine from its roof.  The kids had so much fun jumping around and playing in the "snow".

Christmas Celebration with Josh's Family

Every other year Josh's mom and step-dad take turns celebrating Christmas here and in Texas with Jim's daughter's family.  This year was they were in Texas for Christmas, so we got together to celebrate our Christmas as a family before they left.  We met in Oceanside at a yummy burger joint very close to Granddad's house.  Logan had an absolute blast hanging out with his cousins--Alex and Connor.  Oh how he loves them!

Granddad, the Hastys, Gina (Josh's cousin) and Bobby, the Caceres family, and us!

Logan was so busy playing with his toys that he didn't want to be disrupted for a picture.

Annual Christmas Party with Friends

For the past few years we've been getting together for an annual Christmas party with our large group of friends.  This year the Lewis' hosted in their new beautiful home!  It was lots of fun to get together and hang out among our friends.

There were many attempts to get a picture of all the kiddos looking at the camera.

This was probably one of the best!

Since there are so many kiddos, this year we decided to do a kids' gift exchange.  Logan loves the Cars movie, and especially Mater.  Thanks, Wyatt, for getting Logan a remote-controlled Mater truck!  Very cool gift!

Breakfast with Santa

Each year Stroller Strides hosts a Breakfast with Santa.  Being that this year was Angela and my first year as Franchise owners, we got to host Breakfast with Santa and we were super excited!  This is always a fun event for the whole family.  We met at Tri-City Park and everyone brought lots of yummy goodies to share.  The kiddos had tons of fun eating, playing, listening to the story, and of course, visiting with Santa!

I'm reading The Night Before Christmas to the kiddos as Santa arrives at the park.

Santa made sure to bring his big bag of toys so that he could give one present to each boy and girl.

Logan was very excited to receive his present from Santa.

He got exactly what he asked for...construction toys!

We had a great time and are looking forward to next year's Breakfast with Santa!

Train Ride and Visit with Santa at Irvine Park

Our group of friends and all the kiddos decided to visit Irvine Park Railroad to take the train ride to visit Santa.  We had a huge group of families, so it was lots of fun to watch all the kiddos and their different reactions to Santa Claus.  Last year Logan was screaming in his picture with Santa, so this year we decided to prep him a little bit more.  Daddy explained to Logan that Santa was the nice man that brings Christmas presents.  Daddy told Logan that when he sat on Santa's lap, it was his opportunity to tell Santa exactly what he wanted for Christmas...and that's exactly what he did!

Riding the train to see Santa.

As soon as Logan sat on Santa's lap, he turned toward him and began explaining what he wanted for Christmas.

When we were able to gain Logan's attention, we were able to snap this shot.

All of us mamas with our kiddos.  Ah, the joys of trying to get a bunch of little ones to look at the camera and smile at the same time!

Here he is literally listing on his fingers all the toys he would like--trash truck, cars, construction, etc.  This clearly was a business meeting for Logan; one in which he did some very good negotiating!

Selecting our Christmas tree.  This one looks good!

Logan loves to help his Daddy, so he made sure to help Daddy push the cart out to the car.
